What we collect.
Tempo helps you wind down, sleep, and wake with intention. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell your data, and we don't track you across other apps or the web.
Information you provide
When you create a Tempo account we collect your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your name and Google account email. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
Information collected automatically
Product analytics & diagnostics. We use PostHog to understand how the app is used — screens viewed, features tapped, and basic device information such as model, OS version, and app version. We use this to fix bugs and improve the experience.
Subscription data. Purchases of Tempo Pro are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate receipts and manage your subscription status. We never receive your full payment card details.
Data that stays on your device
Health data. With your permission, Tempo reads sleep data from Apple Health to show how your wind-down habits affect your rest, and can write your outdoor walks back to Apple Health. This data is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers.
Screen Time & app usage. Tempo uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls / Device Activity) to help you limit distracting apps. Your app-usage details are processed on-device by iOS and are never transmitted to us.
Journal & ritual content. Notes, reflections, and session history you create are stored locally on your device.
How we use information
To provide and maintain the app, authenticate you, deliver and manage subscriptions, understand and improve how the product is used, and respond to support requests.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising. Tempo does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites — so you won't see an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Third-party services
We rely on a small set of providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy: Google Firebase (authentication), RevenueCat (subscription management), PostHog (product analytics), and Apple (App Store purchases, Apple Health, and Screen Time).
Data retention and your choices
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes your Tempo account, signs you out, and clears the app content stored on your device. You can also revoke Health or Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings at any time. To request access to or deletion of your data by email, contact lucas@settempo.app.
Children's privacy
Tempo is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
